The Department of Automobile Engineering successfully organized a technical workshop on 7th August 2025 as part of its continuous efforts to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry practices. The event took place at the department smart class room and witnessed participation from students and faculty members.
The highlight of the workshop was a guest session delivered by the Project Manager from CADD Desk, Marthandam, a reputed organization known for its expertise in engineering design and development. The expert speaker shared valuable insights on "Moulding, Tooling, and Management", focusing on real-world applications and challenges in the manufacturing and product development sectors.
The session began with a welcome address by Dr. V.V. Manikandan, about the workshop by Dr. S. Robin Divahar. It was followed by an introduction session to different types of moulding techniques and the importance of precision tooling in the production process and how resource allocation play a crucial role in modern automotive industries.
The workshop encouraged students to engage in Q&A, allowing them to clarify concepts and gain practical perspectives beyond the classroom syllabus.
The workshop proved to be highly beneficial in enhancing the technical knowledge of participants and provided them with a deeper understanding of key manufacturing processes and project management principles.
The department extends its sincere gratitude to the NICHE Management, guest speaker and CADD Desk for support & contribution.
We looks forward to hosting more such industry-oriented sessions in the future.
