The two day of “Sync-to-Studio: The Film Sound Journey” continued with an engaging and insightful session led by renowned sound designer Mr. Arun Rama Varma, an alumnus of the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune.
During the hands-on workshop, Film and Animation students of NICHE University explored the technical aspects of sync sound editing, learning how location-recorded audio is carefully aligned with film footage for professional-quality output.
The session also introduced students to the effective use of specialized microphones, real-time sound layering, and noise reduction techniques, giving them valuable practical exposure to modern filmmaking sound practices.
The interactive learning environment helped students understand how sound design enhances storytelling and adds emotional depth to cinema.
