The campus came alive with cinematic brilliance as the Sukumari School of Multimedia and Film Technology hosted the 1st Padma Shri Sukumari Global Film Festival — a grand celebration of storytelling, creativity, and culture.

Over two inspiring days, students, filmmakers, and cinema enthusiasts gathered to experience award-winning films, creative screenings, and thought-provoking discussions that showcased the power of visual art.

Renowned personalities including Cinematographer & Director Mr. N. Alagappan, Director Mr. Santhosh Viswanath, and Music Composer Mr. B.R. Biju Ram graced the festival as Chief Guests, adding star power and wisdom to the event.

The festival recognized outstanding talents across 22 categories, with ‘Uravi’ winning Best Short Film and ‘Naked Felonies’ bagging Second Best Short Film — marking a proud moment for emerging storytellers.
