NICHE Ascend 2025: Celebrating Excellence and Innovation in Higher Education On June 4, 2025, NICHE hosted its premier academic conclave, NICHE Ascend 2025, at the University Convocation Hall in Kanyakumari. The event brought together a distinguished assembly of academicians, institutional leaders, and special guests to celebrate remarkable achievements in education, research, and institutional growth.The program began with a soulful welcome song performed by the students of NICHE, setting a warm and vibrant tone for the day. This was followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Chancellor Dr. A.P. Majeed Khan, symbolizing the illumination of knowledge. During the ceremony, Dr. Khan also presented the Best Faculty of the Year Award to Dr. R. Rajesh, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, in recognition of his exceptional contributions to teaching and research.Shri M.S. Faizal Khan, Pro-Chancellor, delivered an inspiring presidential address, highlighting the institution’s transformative journey and its dedication to producing industry-ready, future-focused graduates. Vice-Chancellor Dr. Tessy Thomas welcomed the gathering with her inaugural address, spotlighting NICHE’s academic accomplishments and forward-looking vision.Prof. Dr. A. Shajin Nargunam, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Academics), presented the annual report, outlining the university’s key academic milestones, research breakthroughs, and collaborative ventures over the past year. Prof. Dr. K.A. Janardhanan, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Administration), offered insights into administrative progress, while Registrar Dr. P. Thirumalvalavan delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks, appreciating the contributions of all dignitaries, faculty, and students.Adding depth and distinction to the conclave were thought-provoking addresses by eminent educationists such as Prof. (Dr.) Kuncheria P. Isaac, Former Vice-Chancellor of APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University; Prof. (Dr.) G. Gopa Kumar, Former Vice-Chancellor of the Central University of Kerala; and Dr. Faizul Rehman, Vice-Chancellor of Dr. Abdul Haq Urdu University, Kurnool.
