The NICHE NSS Volunteers Club, Gandhian Peace Club, and the Department of Academic Affairs of Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education jointly organized an Awareness Programme on NEP 2020, along with an Awareness Rally, on 28th August 2025 at 3:00 PM at the university campus.
The programme began with a warm welcome address by Dr. Madhusoodhana Kumar, Head of the Department of Information Technology, who greeted the Chief Guest and the gathering.
The Chief Guest, Dr. A. Shajin Nargunam, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Academic), delivered the keynote address. He highlighted the salient features of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and elaborated on its benefits for students, teachers, and the community at large. His address emphasized the transformative impact of NEP 2020 on higher education and skill development.
Following the inaugural session, an Awareness Rally was organized. Students actively participated, marching in procession from the University Entrance to Kumaracoil, spreading the message of NEP 2020 to the local community.
The event was successfully coordinated by the Department of Academic Affairs, the NEP 2020 Administrative Council, and the NICHE Nodal Officer for Higher Education, Dr. G. Ramadas, with enthusiastic participation from faculty members, NSS volunteers, and students.
